WHAT IS IN A ‘USER’ NAME & WHY BOTHER TO HAVE ONE?

LIVE GAME – Refers to a game where you are physically sitting down at a Table with players in a Tournament or Cash Game etc.
ONLINE GAME – Refers to a Tournament or Cash Game etc. played on the INTERNET.
Introduction
It is more than likely, as you are looking at this Website, that you are already a Poker Player or you want to know why anyone would want to have a USER NAME, whilst playing in a LIVE game!
The aim of this Website is to make it easier to recognise the person/people you are playing Poker with, in either a Live or Online Poker game by building up a REGISTER of Worldwide Poker USER NAMES.
How many times have you been discussing with a friend during a ‘break’ or after a ‘Bad Beat’, how the person(s) next to you or opposite you etc. was ‘Fishing’ and hit a card on the Turn or River to beat you. The next question is, who was he/she, what did he/she look like, what were they wearing etc. etc.
It is obviously easier to identify with Players in Live games, rather than Online.
I believe that more and more people will start using USER NAMES in LIVE games as it is so much easier to relate to someone with a USER NAME rather than someone without one. For some reason a USER NAME seams to stick in your mind, much more than a persons name (a stranger) UNLESS they are an already well known player.
To give you an example, I am known as SKULLMAN™ (once seen, never forgotten) and when I was recently playing in a National Tournament, friends that I regularly play Poker with, wanted to know how I was performing, by looking at the regular updates on the Internet.
It had never crossed my mind that they knew me as SKULLMAN™ (simplicitor) and NOT by my real name. As ONLY my real name was on the Internet site & NOT my USER NAME, they were UNABLE to find me. It is also much easier remembering a name that you can identify with, rather than having to remember someone’s full name.
You can obviously take this to whatever level you want, by having Clothing & Caps with your USER NAME Embroidered or Printed on, or by having a Card Protector depicting your USER NAME etc.
It is much more difficult to identify with USER NAMES on the Poker Internet Sites, as different people may use the same USER NAME on the various Internet Sites.
Hopefully, by Registering on SKULLMAN™ & POKER USER NAME Website, you will be able to see who USES which USER NAME both in LIVE games and also on the various Internet Sites.
If that person has Registered on this website, you will hopefully have the ability to find out who the person is ‘behind’ the USER NAME & also how good a player they are. The decision of what information you want to ‘post’ on the website, is left up to you.
